Free parking is available on-site and on The Horsley Drive. We’re easily accessible from the M7, M5, and Cumberland Highway. Located just minutes from Fairfield station.

In the studio

Hands on every finish before you pay for it.

Selection meetings on photos go wrong. Stone reads differently under daylight than on Pinterest. So we keep the real thing in front of you.

Stone & Engineered

Caesarstone, Smartstone, Silestone, Essastone, Quantum Quartz — 40+ slabs to hand-pick from. Plus full-slab natural stone samples (Carrara, Calacatta, travertine).

Tiles & Mosaics

Beaumont Tiles, Amber, National Tiles ranges. Large-format porcelain, terrazzo, herringbone, fish scale. Real metre-square panels — not 100×100 swatches.

Tapware & Bathware

Phoenix, Caroma, Methven, Faucet Strommen, Astra Walker. PVD finishes (brushed brass, gunmetal, matte black) you can actually feel weight on.

Cabinetry & Hardware

Polytec, Laminex, Navurban — full-height door samples. Blum and Hettich runner mechanisms working so you hear the soft-close.

Flooring

Engineered oak boards (Quick-Step, Bjelin, Karri Group), hybrid planks, wool-blend carpets. Light + dark daylight zones to test under both.

Bricks, Render & Cladding

Austral, PGH and Brickworks samples. Acrylic render colours, Scyon Linea, Weathertex, vertical timber feature panels.

We don’t take supplier kickbacks. Every brand listed earned its spot by performing on our jobs — not because someone bought us lunch.

Booking a visit

Three reasons people show up. Plan accordingly.

30m

First-look meeting — early planning

Block on a contract, just settled, or still hunting? Bring the address. We’ll pull council, check zoning + FSR, talk through what your land can carry. No selections, no pressure — you leave with a clear next step. Walk-ins welcome, but a booked slot means Oliver or a senior PM is there.

90m

Selections workshop — under contract

Locked in on a build with us? This is where finishes get pinned down. Bring inspiration (Pinterest board, screenshots, dog-eared magazines — all fine). We allocate a designer for the full block, pull live cost impacts as you choose, and you leave with a signed schedule the same day.

45m

Investor + developer sit-down

Duplex feasibility, multi-dwelling DA stack, boarding house under Housing SEPP 2021 — bring the survey or a 10.7 cert and we’ll run numbers on screen. The studio doubles as our project room, so you see the same dashboards we use internally.

Free coffee. Free parking. No salespeople — you meet the builder.

May 2026 update

What we’re fielding in the showroom right now

Most visitors in the May 2026 quarter are either pricing post the July 2024 dual-occupancy reform or working out whether to knock down and rebuild on Western Sydney reactive clay. Here’s what the conversations look like.

Duplex feasibility sit-downs

Around 40% of investor visits. R2 dual-occ as-of-right under Housing SEPP 2021 has opened up Fairfield, Liverpool, Cumberland, Canterbury-Bankstown and Blacktown. Build cost for an attached mirrored duplex: $1.05M-$1.45M turn-key for the pair. DA timeframes 60-120 days depending on LGA.

Knockdown-rebuild walk-throughs

Demolition $38k-$58k on a typical 200sqm brick veneer with asbestos exposure. Build $1.05M-$1.35M for a 250sqm single-storey turn-key on a cleared block. Around 65-70% of sites need Class M or H1 footings, add $35k-$70k versus Class S.

Granny flat selections

CDC under Housing SEPP 2021 still permits secondary dwellings up to 60sqm on 450sqm+ blocks with 12m frontage. 2-bed 60sqm turn-key: $175k-$235k May 2026. Rental yield in Western Sydney: $480-$650/week long-term.

Selections shifts

Post the engineered-stone ban (July 2024), porcelain slab benchtops are the most-specified premium option. Imported joinery and two-pack finishes up 6-8% in the year. Glazing (double-glazed thermally-broken aluminium) up 5%. We carry current samples and live cost impacts on every selection.

If you’re in the planning phase, walk in with the property address. We’ll pull zoning, FSR and current LGA timeframes on screen while you’re here. No selections pressure, no contract on the day — just real numbers you can plan around.

Frequently asked

Visiting the Fairfield showroom

Do I need to book to visit the Buildana showroom?

Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours, but booking is strongly recommended. A booked slot guarantees a senior project manager or Oliver (our director) is on site for the conversation, and lets us pull your block’s council records and zoning data before you arrive. Quick browse-only visits can be unbooked; if you want feasibility advice or design selections done in one session, book ahead.

Where is the showroom and how do I get there?

Shop 1, 356–358 The Horsley Drive, Fairfield NSW 2165. Free parking on site and on-street, accessible from the M7, M5 and Cumberland Highway, about four minutes from Fairfield train station. The studio is open Monday to Friday 9am–8pm and Saturday/Sunday 10am–6pm including public holidays.

Is the showroom only for people who’ve already signed with Buildana?

No. Roughly a third of visits are people early in their planning — they have a block under contract or are deciding between two sites and want a builder’s read before they commit. We’ll spend 30 minutes on zoning, feasibility and likely cost without any expectation that you sign with us. Existing clients use the studio for selections workshops where finishes get pinned down to a signed schedule.

What can I actually see at the studio?

Real finishes, not pictures. 40+ stone slabs (Caesarstone, Smartstone, Silestone, Essastone, Quantum Quartz), large-format tile panels (Beaumont, Amber, National Tiles), tapware with PVD finishes you can feel weight on (Phoenix, Methven, Astra Walker, Faucet Strommen), Polytec/Laminex cabinetry doors with working Blum and Hettich runners, engineered oak flooring under both daylight and warm-light zones, and brick/render/cladding samples. Selection meetings on Pinterest go wrong — stone reads differently under daylight than on a screen.

Do you take supplier kickbacks for showing certain brands?

No. Every brand on display earned its spot by performing on our actual job sites. We’ve refused supplier rebate agreements that would have forced certain ranges into our selection process because it changes who’s recommending what, and why. If a brand is in the studio, it’s because our trades reach for it on real builds.

Can I bring my own inspiration images and plans?

Yes — please do. Pinterest boards, magazine tear-outs, screenshots from previous homes you’ve owned, your architect’s drawings, surveys, 10.7 certificates, contract for sale documents. The more we have to look at, the more useful the meeting is. The studio doubles as our internal project room, so the same dashboards we use to cost a project are on screen during your visit.

What kinds of projects do people come to the showroom about?

Custom homes, knockdown rebuilds, dual-occupancy duplex builds (Torrens and Strata), home extensions, granny flats, townhouse developments and boarding houses under Housing SEPP 2021. We don’t do small renovations or single-room jobs. If your project is a full-house build or a multi-dwelling development, the showroom visit is where we work out feasibility, costing and timing.

Is there parking and is the showroom accessible?

Yes. Free on-site parking plus untimed on-street parking on The Horsley Drive. Ground-floor street access, no stairs, accessible bathroom. We’ve had wheelchair-user clients run full 90-minute selections sessions without issue. If you have specific access needs let us know when booking and we’ll set up the space accordingly.
