Prestons mixes established 1990s to 2000s homes with newer land releases, so lot sizes vary. The larger blocks clear the 450m² Housing SEPP threshold for a 60m² secondary dwelling; some of the newer estate lots can fall short and need a council DA. So the first thing I do is check your actual survey area rather than assume.

On a qualifying block, the family amenities and proximity to Liverpool CBD and the Ed Square town centre support the rent on a secondary dwelling. The yield is solid.
