Knockdown Rebuild Builder in Peakhurst

Peakhurst is brick-veneer country, 1950s through 1990s on 500 to 700m² R2 blocks, and the older half of that stock is exactly what a knockdown rebuild is for. When the roofline sags and the layout fights modern family life, replacement beats renovation on these block sizes. Mortdale station is a kilometre away, Peakhurst High and the Marketplace anchor the suburb, and medians of $1.5M to $2.4M keep the maths comfortable.

Georges River Council's 600m² duplex minimum puts a fair share of Peakhurst blocks in dual-occupancy territory, and R3 along Forest Road adds density options near the shops. Soil is the LGA's shale-sandstone interface with Class H reactive clay pockets, the geotech tells us whether your footings are routine or reinforced. Fifties and sixties homes get the asbestos screen before demolition, no exceptions.

What I would check first on a Peakhurst block: whether the tired roofline justifies replacement over renovation, the 600m² duplex potential, and the clay pockets from a geotech. Those set the path.

We build these fixed-price, licence HBL 487805C. Ready when you are, one site visit sorts the whole picture.

How It Works

From First Call to Final Key

Everything that has to be right before we touch the ground. Free site inspection of your Peakhurst property. We check lot dimensions, Georges River Council's planning controls, existing home condition, and potential asbestos. Written assessment with budget estimate within 5 business days. KDR is the chance to get the design right — the new build doesn't have to mimic the original layout. We start from your block's strengths (orientation, slope, views) and your family's brief, then design the home the original lot always deserved.

The Peakhurst construction phase. Fixed price, programmed, supervised. Licensed demolition of existing 1950s–1990s brick veneer-era dwelling. Asbestos removal by certified contractors (if present). Site cleared, levelled, and ready for new slab. Typically 1–2 weeks. Your new home goes up on the cleared site. Engineered slab sized for Class M soil, frame, roof, fit-out, kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, painting, driveway, and landscaping. Quality inspections at every stage.

The job isn't done when the site's clean; it's done when you have keys, certificates and warranties. Handover pack: OC, structural certificates, BASIX, appliance manuals and warranties, paint colour schedule, maintenance plan, and the keys. Six-year structural warranty kicks in from OC date — keep the documentation safe for any future sale.
