Licensed Home Extension Builder Norwest
NSW licensed extension specialist. Norwest 2153 extensions on 2010s+ apartment towers-era homes require structural sign-off, Class M footings, and matched connection — we engineer and document properly.
Quick Answer
A home extension in Norwest costs $150,000–$600,000+. Rear extension from $150K, second-storey addition from $300K. Buildana manages design, The Hills Shire Council approvals, and construction under one fixed-price contract.
Home Extension Builder in Norwest
Let me be straight: there is no real home extension market in Norwest, and we would rather say so than take an enquiry that cannot go anywhere. The precinct is apartment-led, R3 and R4 towers built from the 2010s onward around the Norwest Metro station and the business park, so there is essentially no detached housing stock to extend, and strata title rules out individual additions in any case.
What we can do is redirect the project. If you own an apartment here and land elsewhere, a family home in Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill or Kellyville, the extension conversation applies there, and those suburbs sit right next door with very different stock. Norwest is a great base to live in while you improve a house somewhere else in the Hills.
What I would check instead: whether the real project is an addition on land you own in another suburb. If so, that is the conversation worth having.

Buildana manages the complete home extension process in Norwest — from design consultation and structural engineering through to DA or CDC approval, and fixed-price construction to handover. Extend your home without the stress.

No detached stock to extend

So there is essentially no detached housing to extend, and strata title rules out individual additions. We would rather say that plainly than take an enquiry that cannot proceed.

How It Works
From First Call to Final Key
The first job on an extension is finding out what you're extending onto. Norwest homes from the 2010s+ apartment towers were built to different standards — we open walls, check footings, verify load paths. The existing house has to carry the new work.
⏱Design follows the existing roof. A bad extension looks like a bolt-on; a good one reads as original. Matched brickwork or contrasting render (whichever the architecture calls for), tied-in roofline, continuous flooring where it should be continuous.
⏱Construction happens while you live in the house. That means weatherproofing every night, staging the works so kitchens and bathrooms don't disappear on the same week, and keeping the site clean of debris that doesn't belong in a family home.
⏱Finish is seamless. Paint match, floor match, roofline match, brick match where possible. The only way to tell the extension is new is the date on the plans.
⏱Quality Promise
Buildana's Norwest home extension process: assess the existing structure, design the addition, approve, build. Fixed price throughout.
