Parklea KDR — Single Contract, New Home

Knockdown rebuild in Parklea is worth framing honestly, because the residential area was built largely in the 1990s to 2000s. A good share of the homes are young enough that a renovation or extension makes more sense than a knockdown.

Where a rebuild does apply is an older or tired 1990s home that no longer suits how you live. On one of those, a rebuild on the standard 550 to 700m² R2 block resets it, and I will run it against a renovation so you can compare.

The ground runs from Class M shale to Class H reactive clay, so any new home needs a slab engineered off a real geotech. Parklea is known for the Parklea Markets and the nearby Sydney Business Park.

Newer stock, honest framing

Parklea's residential area was built largely in the 1990s to 2000s, near the famous Parklea Markets and the Sydney Business Park. A good share of the housing is young enough that a knockdown is not the obvious move, so I give you a straight read rather than pushing one.

Where a 1990s home is genuinely dated or too small, a rebuild resets it — but I will run it against a renovation so you can weigh both.

Reactive clay drives the slab

The ground runs from Class M shale to Class H reactive clay, so any new home needs a slab engineered off a real geotech. That is the key technical detail here.

If a rebuild is genuinely the right call, it is a clean project on a standard block.
